Nero is a program that was created especially for recording onto CDs and DVDs. It’s been famous for years because of its high quality and impressive speed. As a matter of fact, it’s become a veritable icon among disc burning and recording programs, and although many new versions have been released over the years, the overall aesthetic hasn’t changed much.
That being said, Nero isn’t just a simple disc recorder anymore. Now, it can convert your movies into different file formats, transfer them to an external hard drive or even your TV, make automatic backups and video editing. Plus, it includes applications to edit audio, watch movies on VCD, SVCD and DVD, play music, and essentially infinite possibilities.
Despite all these new features, it is still a simple and intuitive program. The latest versions of Nero have “Ultra Buffer” technology, which is in charge of resolving any issues that could come up while burning a disc.
That being said, the program is pretty heavy because of all those great features, so it can take a while to install. Fortunately, within the list you can choose the parts that you don’t want to install.
